Linkedin: 5 reasons to register and promotion secrets in a professional network
A large professional network of contacts is undeservedly devoid of the attention of many companies in the post-Soviet space. We are ready to reveal to you the advantages of this social network and prove that competent promotion in LinkedIn is effective.
5 reasons to register with LinkedIn:

1. 4 times higher involvement. The reason for such striking differences in the degree of user involvement is the purpose of the visit. Linkedin audience comes to the social network to search for extended information about the company, clarify its coordinates and contact information. Therefore, the transitions to the company’s website from LinkedIn can get more.

2. Wide coverage of statuses. Linkedin’s organic coverage algorithms are different from other networks, so the company’s updated status covers about 20% of the target audience.

3. More than half of international companies already have LinkedIn profiles. According to the Forbes global business publication, about 57% of the leading companies have already registered on this network and are actively promoting it.

4. Conversions are higher than Facebook. According to the Internet marketing service HubSpot, the conversion of users into an application from Linkedin is 2% higher than that of Facebook. The reason is in the interested target audience.

5. Interception audience. There is a tendency to increase the depth of views and user involvement in the professional network Linkedin. Therefore, not having a company profile there, you lose an audience.

Now that you have verified that Linkedin is a working platform for effective promotion, I will tell you about the successful content strategy in this social network:

Add links to publications, as statistics show that publications with links are 45% more popular than text publications.
Communicate with subscribers by asking them questions and warming their interest with visual and video content in your statuses. Photo and video content increases commenting status by almost 100%.
The optimal volume of the post – 21-25 printed characters in the case of focus on the B2C audience. For B2B audiences, the status of 16-25 printable characters will be more effective.

Time to publish choose working time, since the main audience of Linkedin adheres to the office schedule and visits the professional network during working hours. Weekends and holidays most unsuccessful for publications.
Publish every business day, on average you will get about 20 publications per month. This tactic provides up to 60% of the target audience. If you have a need to share useful content more than once a day, feel free to do it, it will not affect the statistics negatively.
You can lead your promotion in LinkedIn in two ways – passively and actively.

Passive strategy involves simply creating your profile on LinkedIn and maintaining it. Users can independently search for a company, find out its news, and establish contact with its employees to establish partnerships.

An active strategy requires more action and time, but may bring more results:

Regularly update the status of the company – share news, successes, announce organized events and share links to the company blog.
Join professional communities. You can create a name for yourself an expert in your industry among market players that are organized in LinkedIn into groups. Participate in discussions, share information about yourself, declare yourself as the market leader and in any case do not engage in “black PR”, not spam.
Always answer the questions. Do not ignore awkward topics, always try to give a complete answer. Again, this will help you to declare yourself as an expert in your industry.
Register your employees. Mentioning the name of the company and uniting its employees into one group will strengthen the image of the company and show its professionalism in establishing business contacts.

How to outreach in Linkedin
Look for new employees on LinkedIn. Post company vacancies or look for candidates on your own – Linkedin is an excellent platform for finding professionals in your field and making contact with them.

iOS (formerly iPhone OS) is a mobile operating system created and developed by Apple Inc. exclusively for its hardware. It is the operating system that presently powers many of the company’s mobile devices, including the iPhoneiPad, and iPod Touch. It is the second most popular mobile operating system globally after Android.

Originally unveiled in 2007 for the iPhone, iOS has been extended to support other Apple devices such as the iPod Touch(September 2007) and the iPad (January 2010). As of January 2017, Apple’s App Store contains more than 2.2 million iOS applications, 1 million of which are native for iPads. These mobile apps have collectively been downloaded more than 130 billion times.

The iOS user interface is based upon direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. Interface control elements consist of sliders, switches, and buttons. Interaction with the OS includes gestures such as swipetappinch, and reverse pinch, all of which have specific definitions within the context of the iOS operating system and its multi-touch interface. Internal accelerometers are used by some applications to respond to shaking the device (one common result is the undo command) or rotating it in three dimensions (one common result is switching between portrait and landscape mode). Apple has been significantly praised for incorporating thorough accessibility functions into iOS, enabling users with vision and hearing disabilities to properly use its products.

Major versions of iOS are released annually. The current version, iOS 11, was released on September 19, 2017. It is available for all iOS devices with 64-bit processors; the iPhone 5S and later iPhone models, the iPad (2017), the iPad Air and later iPad Air models, all iPad Pro models, the iPad Mini 2 and later iPad Mini models, and the sixth-generation iPod Touch.

Marketing your business can be a challenge. Sure, you hear about lots of powerful strategies, but they all require financial investment to start. You are just trying to generate leads, not market a 7-figure business. Luckily, there are a lot of ways you can find leads for your freelance business without spending a dime. You just have to invest your time and creativity. Here are 5 steps you can start with now:

1. Facebook marketplace

You can quickly transform your Facebook page into the ‘social’ landing page of the century by using a form. The advantage of a Facebook contact, newsletter subscribe or another customized form is that it makes it easier for your potential customers to communicate with you as they do not have to leave your Facebook page.

There are plenty of resources online for creating forms like Wufoo, JotForm, and Formstack. Once your form is created, you can embed it into your Facebook page, and it will show up as a new tab on your Facebook page. You can also use Facebooks iFrame application to create custom forms.

Posting a link to your recent blog post to direct Facebook fans to your website and then eventually to your landing page is classic social media lead generation. In order to make it work, keep your Facebook posts visually appealing. Use an image instead of text-only and boost user engagement by 2.3 times. Just make sure you include a clear link back to your website in the caption.

2. Social Media Engagement

Social media engagementIf you have a few potential prospects actively asking questions or commenting on a post, this is the best chance to engage with them and generate leads. Ask for their email address or another convenient way to directly converse so that you can give them a personal experience, address their questions, and potentially land a new customer. As experiential marketing is becoming more and more widespread, customers are leaning toward brands which they can engage with. A great way of doing this is by conducting polls and surveys that allow customers to give their input and feel involved.

By getting a live pulse of your audience, you will be able to provide to their demands better and create lead generating content. You should request an email address to see the survey results once it is completed to keep them engaged.

The use of custom hashtags can help you to personalize and separate a brand from its competitors. By building a unique following with custom hashtags, you are making your brand more memorable in the eyes of potential customers that can pay off down the road when they are ready to make purchase decisions.

Do not make hashtags too long or crazy —simple, to the point, will do the trick. You can use them for product releases, events or just about anything else that needs promoting.

3. Cold Calling

Cold calling is an attempt to generate a lead from a potential customer, via the telephone. If your company is new one without financial means or the connections to take advantage of other forms of marketing cold calling represents a “ready-to-go” method of finding new leads. Though it is not always considered the most productive, cold calling is an important technique in every salesperson’s arsenal. In its truest sense, a cold call is cold because even a prospect which is a good match for your service or product won’t necessarily be perceptive, which is why the effectiveness of cold calling is usually called into question.

Making a productive cold call is tricky because of the various possible types of responses from your prospect. Oftentimes, the recipient will simply hang up. But in the worst case, you might even receive verbal abuse. Furthermore, the comparative attractiveness of cold calling is decreasing in comparison with more modern types of prospecting.

4. Visiting prospects in person

Going to prospect in person gives you access to clues which you would not have a chance to uncover over the phone call. How the prospect’s place of business or home looks is the main indicator of what type of person they are. Is it perfectly maintained or shabby?  Is it all gravel and concrete or is the landscaping lush? How large is the office or house? What decorations and colors did they choose? All of these are clues to your potential customer’s state of mind and can tell you which approach will work better to secure an appointment.

Dropping in on an office place allows you to talk to employees who are not decision makers, but who might have general, helpful information about the company. For example, talking to the receptionist for a couple of minutes can yield information such as the name(s) of the purchasing agent or decision maker(s), how they feel about the product they currently own, what their schedule is like, and etc.

Sometimes, you will not be able to simply walk into the building and wander at will because of the security officer. In these cases, keep the names of those companies for a later phone call or email.

Do not forget to chat with the people at the security desk, as you may learn a useful small piece of information or at the least, leave them with a nice memory of you for when you hopefully come back later with an appointment.

5. Organic content marketing

Content MarketingOrganic content marketing finds ways to make customers look for you naturally. In effect, it means using any type of marketing method that does not require a direct payment. This type of inbound marketing involves providing valuable content which customers need and providing answers to questions, highlighting why you have the best solution and then, supporting it with a constant, online presence (often through social media). An organic content marketing system is customer-centric and focuses on giving your customers an improved online experience.

If you can place yourself as a reliable source of important content, you can build an engagement with your customers and, in turn, you build your brand. But this type of marketing requires time and effort, and a good system is essential to reap rewards.

Differentiating a brand’s services and products from those of competitors is the primary concern of marketers in any industry. Monitoring trends in real time and anticipating which changes will happen in the market is incredibly crucial for being able to remain at the forefront of competition.

However, analysis of market trends should extend beyond the actions of competitors –  brands must be able to detect new consumer habits, behaviors, and lifestyles. Must also analyze their potential impact on the overall industry market and the brand’s products. Such data enables brands to collect feedback regarding existing products, develop new products, and efficiently segment their service offerings to target different audiences.

Analyzing online conversations is a valuable method for understanding emerging market trends relevant to a brand’s products and services, public perception and the specific expectations. However, analyzing online conversations alone is not enough: brands must connect with specialized media researchers, opinion leaders, market experts and journalists to understand pre-existing trends and discover emerging trends.

This type of analysis involves several steps: analyzing potentially large volumes of data, knowing where relevant conversations are occurring, and determining the insights within conversational trends.

The Goals of Trend Analysis
The first step in trends research should always be defining your goals. For example, a brand’s goals might involve gaining insights on the target audience, discovering macro trends in its industry, collect feedback on products and services or research consumer behavior. Once these goals have been defined, it is important to select tools which will allow the brand to detect and process relevant data.

Detect and Monitor Major Trends
An excellent method for discovering sources to monitor and new topics of interests is analyzing the evolution of social media conversation on industry-related concepts. Ideally, research should begin with general concepts before analysis is refined to keywords which are consistently used over a relatively extended period. Finally, relevant ideas can be segmented into clusters of similar topics for a more straightforward collection of data most relevant to the study’s interest.

Here are some commonly used methods for monitoring trends:
• Specify 3 to 4 primary topics to monitor
• Analyze widely used hashtags and their volume of use regarding key concepts – both spontaneous and brand-created hashtags should be monitored
• Analyze Google searches to identify trends related to current events trends in keywords. Google’s search suggestions also provide valuable information on user reviews and consumer trends
• Identify key events within the industry on emerging trends and monitor commonly used language to identify macro concepts
• Monitor industries outside of the brand’s sector to detect potential overlapping trends

The Benefits of Monitoring and Analysis
When you monitor and analyze marketing campaigns such as newsletters, pay-per-click advertising, emails, etc., you have the chance to dig in and examine how things are actually performing. If the levels of success are low, you should drill down and figure out what the problem is. At that point, you can decide whether you should reinvest in improving your current campaign or stop it and focus on new ones.
When a campaign is going particularly fine, you can “follow the bright spots” and learn from them to ensure your future campaigns are just as successful.

And now we are going to talk about the additional 4 benefits that monitoring and analyzing your marketing efforts have besides pinpointing highs and lows among your marketing strategy.

1. Know What Your Customers Have to Say

Your customers who are also the members of your target audience are the base on which the success of your business is built. You have to know which marketing techniques are efficient in their eyes, and tracking the fall and rise of your business operations reports that information.
When you find a particular slogan, advertisement or other marketing technique that sticks with them, build it up. You can inject it into your social media posts or incorporate it into promotional items. Measuring your customers’ reactions helps you create a branding image which can last a lifetime.
On the other hand, when the reactions to a specific campaign are negative, or when you can’t generate profit based on one of them, you are not only learning that the campaign is unsuccessful, but you are also getting a taste of what they do not like.

2. Improve the Techniques

Whenever you find a strategy that works well, you may be tempted just to let it be. You assume that it has already generated a high level of success, so you do not need to improve it. However, the competitive landscape and your customers are not going to remain the same forever, and neither should your message. For example, consider a product that targets individuals in their 20s. Even though you want to keep that audience, you also want to retain these customers when they move into the next periods of their lives. Updating the product, as well as the marketing campaigns that go along with it, can make these people lifelong customers.

3. Have a Stronger Financial Approach

When you are monitoring and then analyzing your campaign, you will start to see how the money you invest in either leads to a loss or generates profit. This benefit or consequence is measurable and tangible. And the ability to do so may adequately lead to a high level of success on your end. When you determine the components that make your company strong, you can invest more money in them and put away the techniques which drain your company out of a profit.

4. Build a Strong Online Reputation

Besides ensuring that your finances are stable, you also want to be sure you have a reliable digital reputation. By analyzing how individuals are reacting to your marketing campaigns on review boards and social media outlets, you can gain a sense of what your online reputation is and why. Once you know where you stand, you can work to either repair the problem or tweak strategies to garner even better reviews.

Running an efficient marketing strategy across all channels is something every brand strives for. Still, if you are not equipt with the proper tools that let you efficiently monitor and analyze your marketing performance, then this may never be possible.

Robot usage in the global manufacturing industry has been climbing steadily since 2009, the MIT Technology Review reports.

Sourcing World Robotics, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the OECD, MIT found that robotic worker purchases increase every year. However, a closer look at the numbers indicates that robots aren’t taking jobs directly from human counterparts.

In Europe (except Germany), the numbers show that robot usage is up and human employment is down. In America, Germany, and South Korea, however, robot usage and human employment are up. It’s less an indication that robots are replacing people than evidence that German, American, and Korean cars are in demand. After all, the MIT research indicates that the automotive industry has embraced robots more so than any other industrial sector.

It’s hard to tell, but here’s a theory: when the economy is bad and sales are down, increased efficiency from robots keeps struggling auto industries afloat. When the economy is good and sales are up, robots and people both increase in number to meet demand. Robots require maintenance and oversight from humans, so if anything, more robots ought to mean more people when the economy demands it.

Cynthia Breazeal, a former MIT Media Lab researcher who has gone on to create personal robot assistant Jibo, says the idea of robots stealing human jobs is an outdated one.

“There’s a knee-jerk reaction from the past about robots trying to replace people and take away jobs. But in reality that’s not quite what happens,” she said. “With any new technology, they take over the jobs that people don’t necessarily want to do anyway, and they create new jobs. They empower people to do more interesting work.”

Breazeal cited Race Against the Machine, an academic book about the way robots are transforming human employment. Instead of looking at robots as soulless usurpers, we should see them as tools designed by humans to help humans live—and work—better:

I think we need to do a better job communicating this new, more enlightened philosophy: robots are supplementing what people do. They’re meant to help support us and allow us to do the kind of work that humans in particular find much more interesting and much more fulfilling because humans are creative, humans do things that machines don’t. It’s really about teamwork.

If you are already an iPhone X user, you know that having the device can be both a good and a scourge. Apple’s iPhone X is packed with features and extras – the likes of which have never been seen before. iPhone X’s problems manage to range from your smartphone’s facial description not working to an unresponsive touchscreen. One of the most obvious questions that happen is broken glass. Broken screens on an iPhone X  are more common because the phone is often comprised of a screen. Therefore there is more glass covering the exterior area of the device.

For screen smacks, you may be covered under an AppleCare Warranty, so it is best to reduce. If the guarantee is expired, program a repair with Rocketfix, and we will fix your shattered screen, today.

Apple created this ultra-powerful machine, which is not entirely fool-proof. But that’s ok. We want to prepare you for any following screen issues you may struggle, and help you with how to fix them along the process.

Restarting the iPhone X is a bit contradictory to earlier iPhones because there’s no home button.

  1. Press and hold the Rear key and both volume button until the Slide to power off slider appears
  2. Drag the slider to turn off
  3. To switch on, press and hold the wake/sleep key until you see the Apple logo

If you have mega problems with iPhone X then force restart it like this:

  1. Short press the Volume Up button.
  2. Quick press the Volume Down button
  3. Press and hold the Rear key until the Apple logo appears on the screen

You can also try and press the wake/sleep button for up to 30 seconds to restart – again until you perceive the Apple logo appears.

Regarding lagging, frozen, or just plain unresponsive screens, it can come from some circumstances. For one, you could have too many apps running in the background. Nine times out of ten, lagging is a direct consequence of a lack of storage space on your Apple device.

Your screen certainly won’t wait on you to ask it to freeze; it’ll do it on its own. This means it could happen in the middle of an urgent business phone call. In the same vein, it could just as easily happen while restarting your device.

So how do you fix it? If you haven’t yet updated your iOS update version 11.1.2., you should do so immediately. You problems will probably be set in a jiffy. The bug creating this issue was officially released with this update.

You can perform a hard reset if the software update does not work. To do this, you should:

  1. Press and quickly release the ‘volume up’ button.
  2. Next, press and quickly release the ‘volume down’ button.
  3. Last, press and hold the side power button until the Apple logo appears.

Try also, rebooting your phone in recovery mode.

You can use Apple’s facial ID in a lot of surprising ways with the iPhone X. For beginners, users can make personalized emojis, log into their phone, as well as different functions using just one’s face. To guarantee that you can make use of the facial recognition feature without glitches, try these fast fixes:

  1. Turn on/off your phone’s facial ID: Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Use Face ID > Disable iPhone Unlock. You’ll turn off your iPhone then go back to Settings and re-enable iPhone unlock.
  2. Reset your face ID: Settings > Face ID & Passcode Reset Face ID.
  3. Reset All Settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Have you ever seen a green line appear on your phone’s screen? If so, there is not much that can be made, but Apple is replacing all of the smartphones changed by this mysterious green line.

The iPhone X sometimes seems to have a mind of its own. In situations like this, you might be trying to drive, and your screen goes black. In other cases, your phone is unresponsive after long periods of inactivity (i.e., after a night’s sleep).

If you can tell that your phone is still on because it is getting a sound or you take a screenshot to listen for the cover sound it makes, the easy solution to this is a force restart. Another could be charging the device. This should occur if you cannot hear anything or the iPhone is showing no signs of having juice.

Can’t seem to catch a break? We have one final suggestion for a malfunctioning iPhone X screen – turn to Rocketfix!

We will repair your iPhone X with care, and our professional technicians come directly to you.

Thinking about making the switch to iPhone X? You should do your homework and understand if it’s worth making the switch.

Before ripping open your iPhone, it’s necessary to exhaust all mild fixes. If the screen is cracked the problem is readily apparent, but if a gate or button stops working, there are ever a few fixes worth trying that do not involve screwdrivers. Read more about, what are iPhone Problems, iPhone Repair in Los Angeles, and How to Fix Them on Your Own.

Finally, if you have never removed a wire before it is a bad idea for fixing your iPhone to be your first DIY microelectronics project — maybe start with something that won’t destroy a $1000 phone. I have enough experience messing around with the interiors of electronic devices (like putting a Raspberry Pi into an amp) that I’m comfortable taking apart my iPhone – but if you are not in the same position, doing it yourself probably won’t be worth it. Happily, the skills you need are simple to learn — you can even do it with YouTube.

Apple’s devices are very nicely manufactured. You are not expected to be ready to open them and play throughout with the insides; the rusty Phillips head screwdriver in your toolbox is not going to be able to deal with the screws on your iPhone and prying open the screen with a knife is just a bad idea. To fix your iPhone correctly, you’ll need special tools.

To start, you’ll need a set of essential prying tools and electronics screwdrivers. These are cheap and work for most customer electronics, not just iPhones. I used this 23 piece set from

You can use the necessary tools to open an iPhone, but an iSclack Opening Tool is a real way to do it without damaging anything. You can get one from iFixit or iParts4U.

You will also need a clean, static electricity free workspace. An anti-static mat on your kitchen table is enough.

Where to Get Tools and Parts

Just as a regular screwdriver cannot open an iPhone, you can’t just pull up a replacement screen in your neighborhood appliance store. You need to get the ingredients from dedicated retailers.

If you are in the US, iFixit is the best spot to get parts. They have also started an EU store which is much good depending.

If you are in the UK, iParts4U is a great store to use and offers free performance on larger orders. Both shops stock all the most popular iPhone components.

A lot of current iPhone problems can be fixed yourself: dead batteries, cracked screens, stuck home buttons, broken ports, failing microphones, crapped out cameras, and disconnected speakers can all be fixed with parts you can find online.

The main thing that can’t be fixed is damage to the iPhone’s logic board. There’s no way to swap the RAM or CPU if they start to go, so if the logic board is gone, you will need a new phone.

If your iPhone still turns on and usually runs then you can fix whatever other problems there are. If it won’t do that or continually crashes after a drop or spill, it’s best used as a paperweight. Fortunately, this is unique.

Even something that might seem unfixable like water damage can be repaired as long as the deduction board is unharmed. Water enters first through the speaker grill and ports, damaging those components. If it doesn’t penetrate deeper, replacing them should be enough to get your phone back running.

Cutting open your phone and fiddling around with the interiors trying to fix it is a method for tears. Before starting you need to hunt down the right director for the problem you have.

Google is always a right place to start, particularly for non-invasive fixes. Google was where I turned to work and fix my iPhone’s problem before replacing any parts. Some of the advice in this guide to Google search will help you get relevant results.

If Google isn’t turning up any simple fixes, or you try them, and it does nothing, then you’ll need a guide on how to open and repair your phone. The best place to find them is iFixit: they have guides on how to improve every example of iPhone released.

Some people might prefer to get by watching a video rather than reading a guide. YouTube has a load of great improvement videos. I’d recommend reading the guide then searching YouTube for a video to watch someone go through the process than understanding the written guide while you repair your own iPhone.

Repairing your iPhone yourself is surprisingly simple. If you are happy with basic electronics, it is well within your grip. The choice to do it is a little confusing. You can make a combination of things and, on newer iPhones, buying the parts yourself may not be much lower than getting it officially repaired, especially once you factor in the costs of specialized tools you will likely only use once.

If you choose to do it yourself, you will need those specific tools and replacement parts to ensure you don’t damage your iPhone. Luckily, these are simple to get online and are useful for repairing most consumer electronics.

Whatever you do, don’t dive in and start messing around with your iPhone’s insides without a guide. The best place to find a complete one is iFixit though YouTube is also good. Have you ever repaired your own iPhone? How did it go? Let us know in the comments.

The screen protector for a smartphone is perhaps one of the best, and powerful, accessories you should have to compliment and guard your device. The logical use of a screen protector is simple to understand, but what could be more involved in the actual type of the screen protector. That’s right there are a few different types, with each having its benefits. Before you set a screen protector on your phone, consider the popular models and materials they’re made from:

screen protector

Highly transparent so that it can provide a sharp, clear view of the screen. These screen protectors can block UV rays and come with a non-adhesive silicone back which makes it easy to take off and replace.

Ideal for people who use their smartphones outdoors and want to block the glare from UV rays. These types of screen protectors also prevent fingerprint coating in addition to being scratch resistant.

What we commonly call the scratch guard is the simplest and the cheapest choice available to defend the screens. These are clear and slim. The most significant part is that as they are thin, it seems like they are not there. So if you have a rounded screen on your smartphone, this one would be the most comfortable option. They help protect the screen from scratches. There are some that come with the matte finish to resist smudges and fingerprints. But some of the bright protectors that come with bright finish might sometimes be fingerprint magnets in spite of being able to guard the screen against scratches. There are clear phone screen protectors made of plastic, but these might be slightly difficult to install.

Screen protectors made of tempered glass have become famous recently. These are thicker than the standard phone screen protectors. Tempered glass protectors come either as clear ones or slightly tinted. If you are looking to protect your phone screen from cracks and loss, this is the real deal. Though they are thick, they adhere to the mobile screen correctly and can take the impact when the phone is dropped unexpectedly. So before the screen damages the tempered glass protector cracks. Though they are slightly more valuable than the other screen protectors, this value would be much less than that made for the replacement of the real screen. These are very easy to install. As they are created of glass, much like the first screen, they also feel like the initial screen. But the fact that they are slightly raised might be a turn off for some users.

Privacy screen guards:

One of the thickest options for screen guards this help decrease the viewing angles and thus increase the privacy. The screen perceptibility is blacked out from the sides. Are Glass Screen Protectors Better Than Plastic Ones?

The Variations Between Plastic and Glass Screen Protectors

Price: Plastic screen protectors are inexpensive than tempered glass ones. Depending on the quality, you will give anywhere between $1 for a pack of five to $10 for a single plastic protector. Glass protectors again begin at around $2 for the lowest alternative and go up to $35. The price variation is because of the quality of the plastic or glass, and technologies applied to it like an oleophobic coating (which reduces fingerprints).

Toughness: Tempered glass is almost always sturdier than plastic at the same price. Plastic protectors—especially the cheap models—also get scratched easily, unlike glass ones. Glass protectors are around 0.3-0.5 mm in thickness; plastic is about 0.1mm.

Feel: Most smartphones today have Gorilla Glass or some other scratch-resistant screen. When you add a plastic protector, you can feel the difference when you use your phone; especially regarding how simply your finger slides. Tempered glass protectors seem more like the original screen.

Look: Because of their thickness, glass protectors will bulge out a bit more than plastic. This is particularly noticeable on devices like the iPhone 5 or the HTC One. The protector is slightly increased from the flush finish of the sides, which can be an aesthetic issue for some. On the iPhone, this also means your Home button is recessed more than you’re used to. I know 0.5mm seems like a small number, but you can feel the difference.

Installation: If you’ve installed a plastic screen protector, you know how hard the process is. There are diverse kinds of glass protectors (full-adhesive or bezel-adhesive), but usually, they are easier to install if you use a quality product. Of course, you’ll still have to clean the screen first.

I’m not a fan of the cheaper variants of tempered glass protectors because of bad experiences with them, but there are lots of people who are happy with those. Apart from the installation, I’ve found two problems with these. First, the oleophobic layer and the quality of the glass is not good enough. You will see fingerprints, and you’ll be able to tell that it’s not as good as your actual phone. To me, that defeats the goal of a glass protector. Second, I have trouble with multi-touch input while gaming when more than two fingers are involved. This isn’t a dealbreaker, but it can be frustrating at times. If you are purchasing a tempered glass screen protector, it makes sense to spend a little money and go for the slightly pricey ones.
